The Barbero Program is a highly sought-after, annual creative internship program by BBDO Guerrero that aims to train and inspire Philippines’ next batch of creative industry leaders.

Filipino barbers (barbero) are not just haircutters, they are also great storytellers. BBDO, looking for a fresh cut of creative storytellers, launched the Kwentong Barbero 2022 Internship Program.

It’s out with the old and in with the new this 2022. Reinventing the original illustrations from 2018, we did a brand refresh of BBDO Guerrero’s Barbero Program. We gave fresh new looks to the characters to target the new generation of creatives. Taking inspiration from risograph, I used geometric patterns to come up with the key visual and logo lockup. The character illustrations were reinvented through digital illustration.
